Understanding Budgets

It is important for everyone to have a basic understanding of what a budget is and how it can be used. Budgeting helps people keep track of their finances and assists them in making wiser financial decisions, based on income and expenses. By the end of this lesson, students will have an understanding of good budgeting habits and the different parts of a budget. Students will also be able to create a budget, either from a template or from scratch.
