Course Policies

As a student, it is expected that the course policies and expectations are followed throughout your participation in the course. Please use the following guidelines to inform your decisions throughout the entirety of your participation in any course. The course policies refer to information including, but not limited to

When Starting the Course

It is highly recommended that you complete the Passport to Canvas to familiarize yourself with how courses are structured, assignments are submitted, grades are recorded, and much more. This is a course that you have already been enrolled in and is located on your dashboard.

Due Dates

In this course you will see five sets of due dates. The syllabus quiz is due 7 days after the start of this course. The remaining due dates are approximately 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the course duration. The modules are divided evenly across these due dates, taking into consideration the amount of coursework in each module. These due dates are meant to serve as a guide in helping students stay on track for successful completion of the course work.

The assignment due dates are suggestions, but they are not requirements; assignments will not "close" after the due date has passed, and there are no point penalties for late submission. If a due date has passed, do everything you can to catch up and continue to work through and submit your assignments. If you find yourself falling behind, plan to attend Instructor Office Hours to get assistance from your instructor on catching up. The goal here is to help you succeed and stay on pace throughout, and your instructor is always happy to assist.
